Children flocked to Royston town centre on Saturday to take part in the annual Rudolf trail.
The eager youngsters followed clues to find the reindeer in shop windows.
Town centre manager Geraint Burnell said: “I’m not sure whether you’d say the weather was kind or unkind to us on Saturday. On the one hand, it wasn’t raining, on the other, it was ‘blowing a gale’ – at one point the children nearly got to see Santa actually flying through the town.”
Every child that completed the trail received a present from Santa, and quite a few got themselves a glitter tattoo in the bargain.
Geraint added: “Our thanks to Sally and her team for running the event all day. Also, to Royston Round Table for relief Santa and charity donation duties. Most of all, our thanks to Royston First and the retailers for funding and supporting the event.”
