Royston Schools Academy Trust pupils have been enjoying lots of activities across the Greneway, Roysia and Meridian sites.
Greneway and Roysia Year 7s have visited Church Farm in Ardeley near Stevenage, to consolidate their food miles topic in geography.
The pupils carried out activities including harvesting potatoes and feeding the pigs and chickens.
Pupils from across the Royston Schools Academy Trust have also taken part in the annual Youth Speaks event, organised by Royston Rotary Club.
They were joined by pupils from St Mary’s Catholic Primary School and older pupil mentors from the Meridian site.
The young people across Year 5 to 8 showcased their skills as confident and influential public speakers, presenting to their parents and teachers, as well as members of Rotary.
Some pupils chose to link their topic to the theme of community, and spoke knowledgeably and eloquently about a range of topics including the internet and the arts. And, this year, they had the support of Meridian students, who had taken part in previous years, who coached the younger pupils at Greneway, offering them valuable advice and encouragement.
