PROTESTERS in Royston took to the streets to urge world leaders to take action on climate change.
A hastily arranged vigil took place in the town last week, led by Carlo Zambonini, who collected signatures on a petition at The Cross.
The protest was held to coincide with the United Nations climate change conference being held in Denmark, which drew to a close last weekend.
Mr Zambonini said: "Despite apparent natural disasters in Cockermouth, Bangladesh, tsunamis in South East Asia, Kenya, and Peru, opinions on climate change range from denial to scepticism and concern."
The petition is available to sign at the town council offices at Royston Town Hall.
