PLANS for the �3.5 million rail underpass went on show yesterday (Wednesday).
The plans for the underpass, at Coombes Hole, were made available to the public at Coombes Community Centre.
There will be a further chance to view them when they are put on display at Royston Town Hall this Saturday, between 10am - 2pm.
Meanwhile, a survey of the area has revealed that asbestos buried there years ago is not dangerous and is of a low quality.
The county council believes the asbestos can be removed without problems being caused.
Tenders are currently being invited for the scheme, with the build set to take place around Christmas 2010.
