Royston Town Youth FC will be hosting its annual managers vs managers fundraising event this weekend.

The youth club will host a match between the two teams – McGlynn it to win it will be their defending their status as champions against Ryan’s Rovers.

A spokeswoman for the club told the Crow: “This is Royston Town Youth’s annual fundraising match where it’s the managers turn to get out on the pitch, McGlynn it to Win it will be trying to retain their status as champions from last year, while Ryan’s Rovers will be hoping it is their turn to lift the cup.”

As well as the match, there are plenty of family friendly activities going on. For the children, the entertainments include a gladiator duel, speed shooting test, as well as face painting and crafty make and keep sessions. For the grown-ups, there’s a barbecue and a bar to make the most of.

All proceeds on the day will go to the youth development programme.

Kick off is at 2pm on Saturday at Royston Town Football Club in Garden Walk. Admission is £2 per adult and £1 for each child.
