Parents and children are pleased as punch that after the troubles last week, Royston Splash Park seems to be working as normal.

The summer event at the Priory Memorial Gardens was held today, with hundreds of families visiting and enjoying the many free activities on offer like Ruby Wallington (7), Kaitlin Coley (7) and Jessica Wallington (6) pictured.

Cathryn Jaffray from Royston Has a Splash Park campaign group said: “I am so relieved that the council have managed to make the splash park operational again after the disappointment of it breaking down last week when it was the hottest weather we had all year.

“Myself and the rest of the group are looking forward to making good use of it over the school holidays. Especially my two year old daughter Phoebe who would be there all day every day if I let her!”
