Slimmers in Royston have stepped up for a group walk on Therfield Heath to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
The groups’ members – who have a combined weight loss of more than 279 stone – have been sponsored to up their daily step-count throughout August and rounded off their achievements by walking the heath for Cancer Research UK together on Friday last week.
Weight loss consultant Lesley Thornalley-Grey, who organised the event and was so proud of the members for their efforts, said: “We had gorgeous, sunny weather conditions for our evening walk and in true Slimming World-style our members, their friends and families were out in force to support each other. They showed just what can be done when we come together – both in terms of achieving something amazing and raising money for a great cause too.”
