SCOUTS from Royston are calling for past members to join them in their centenary celebrations.

Scouting in Crow Country is celebrating its 100th birthday this year, and to mark the start of festivities, members of each of the area's groups joined together to make cardboard ovens, in which they managed to bake pizzas and cakes.

Michelle Renwick, district commissioner, said: "The main celebration will take place with a parade and party for all members and past Scouters."

Anyone who has been involved in scouting in Royston and would like to take part in the festivities should email dc.royston@hertfordshirescouts.org.uk or telephone 0845 6436956.
