Pupils and staff at Meridian school are appealing to the people of Royston for help in collecting sewing materials for a charity which helps dress some of the poorest people in the world.
As part of the enrichment schedule at the school, Meridian Sewing Club are having a two day sewing bee where they are aiming to make 40 dresses for the charity Dress a Girl Around the World.
The sewing club members are looking for any donations of ribbons and bias binding for edges, as well as any fancy decorative materials people might have sitting in their sewing baskets at home.
You can drop items in directly to the school, or post them to The Meridian School, Garden walk, Royston, SG8 7JH.
