Children from primary schools in Royston were taught about the merits of the science and engineering industry when they visited Johnson Matthey HQ.
The Scientists and Engineers of the Future: Engaging with Primary Schools event brought teachers, children and industry representatives together to promote the Children Challenging Industry project.
The project has taught more than 600 children about what a career in science and engineering could mean for them.
Students took part in lessons, met employees from Johnson Matthey and took part in interactive sight tours.
The event celebrated two successful years of the project.
Johnson Matthey and the CIEC are committed to expanding the project locally so that more children can take part.
