Meridian school hosted a special retirement party for a headteacher who has served there for 37 years.
The farewell event for Dr Michael Firth saw former and current staff, governors and students rally together to wave him off.
It was a joyful evening full of shared memories and included a musical tribute sung by current and former students and speeches by the chair of governors, Paul Bolton, Sir Oliver Heald MP and Dr Firth himself.
In a letter to the Crow, Dr Firth said: “May I take this opportunity to thank everyone who has wished me well as I retire from Meridian School.”
