Not content with taking on the challenge in a traditional vest and shorts, Craig McMurrough from Royston will be running the London Marathon tomorrow in a giant training shoe costume.
Craig, of Redwing Rise, will be running as his alter ego Shoe Barker in aid of Cancer Research UK, as he pays tribute to his aunt.
Craig, who works in change management, has already completed the Great North Run and Great South Run in the shoe costume.
The 44-year-old said: “Pounding the pavements as Shoe Barker has definitely been challenging at times, but it’s so motivating to know the money I raise is going to help.”
To sponsor Craig, please visit his fundraising website at www.justgiving.com/Craig-McMurrough4.
