A road was closed by police yesterday morning after a man is alleged to have threatened to stab bailiffs knocking at his door in Royston.
Police attended the scene in Elm Walk just after 8am where the two bailiffs outside the home had allegedly been threatened with a knife.
Further threats were allegedly made to officers.
The road was closed as a precaution and, after police negotiations at the scene, the man was arrested at 10.30am and later charged with a section 4 Public Order Act offence.
