The fifth Royston Repair Cafe proved to be a real record-breaker.
The fifth Royston Repair Cafe proved to be a real record-breaker.
Last week’s free event at the Market Hill Rooms saw six repairers mend more than half of the 32 items which they assessed.
Items fixed on the day included a BMX bike, an ironing board, a sewing machine, a hairdryer and a CD player, as the group’s dedicated team of volunteers were put to the test.
Despite not all items being fixed, all of the 30 owners surveyed about their experience at the repair cafe said they were happy with the help they received.
