Royston MP Sir Oliver Heald has expressed his concerns after a spate of house break-ins in the town.
Speaking to the Crow after it emerged a Samsung Galaxy, jewellery and make-up were stolen in a spate of burglaries yesterday, he said: “I was told about the recent burglaries by county councillor Fiona Hill and immediately contacted our police chief inspector Julie Wheatley asking for a full briefing.
“It is very distressing for residents when burglaries occur and my thoughts are with them.
“Our police are good at catching criminals and I hope it will be possible to speedily apprehend those responsible.”
