A hardware store in Royston has been recognised as one of the best in the UK at a national awards ceremony.
Merlin Mica, based in Market Hill, took the Silver Award in the Hardware Retailer of the Year category at the DIY Industry’s Annual Awards in Coventry.
There to collect the award were Royston store manager Jenny Robinson and her husband Simon.
Speaking at the awards, Jenny said: “We can’t really believe we’re here to be honest.
“We’ve just kept doing what we like to think we’re good at – looking after our customers as well as just moving with the times, and suddenly this!
