Staff at a curry house in Royston say they are ‘really happy’ after being awarded the top food hygiene rating following a reinspection.
Officers at North Herts District Council visited Mughal Kitchen in Kneesworth Street on Thursday last week and gave the firm five stars.
The Crow reported the restaurant’s one star rating as part of an investigation into hygiene scores across the district in June, but staff there had explained that the business was under new ownership since the previous inspection in February.
And now Mughal Kitchen has been given top marks – meaning food hygiene at the premises is considered to be ‘very good’.
Manager Selin Alam said: “The inspector was really happy with us having looked at everything thoroughly. We have new management and new owners – and we are very happy with our new five-star rating.”
