Our eager team of reporters at the Royston Crow will be donning their goggles and Speedo finery to take part in a charity swimming competition next Saturday, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The swimming trio also known as the Crow Crawlers – made up of Oliver Pritchard, Rebecca Day and Mark Hemmings – will tackle the Lido Challenge at Letchworth Outdoor Pool. Sponsor them here.
The team will be joined on the day by Clare Barter, from Bragbury End in Stevenage, who has a very personal reason for taking part.
Last year her sister Marianne was diagnosed with cervical cancer and then given the all clear in February, throughout which the charity proved to be an anchor of support.
Clare said: “I was so grateful to use such an amazing, charity run helpline that I felt I should do something to help fund it.”
