A celebration was held this week to mark the 70th anniversary of the Royston Community Association.
The group – which is chaired by Bill Davidson and has Sylvia Daintrey as president – started in 1946 with activities like beekeeping and stamp collecting and meetings took place at Queens Road School.
The 1987 opening of Coombes Community Centre in Burns Road became their new home.
There are some gaps in the history between 1946 to 1976, if any was involved then, please contact Gillian at coombescommunity@uwclub.net.
