The search continues for Royston author Helen Bailey, who was reported missing from her home on Friday.

The 51-year-old was last seen at around 2.45pm on Monday, April 11, and had stated that she needed some time to herself – but has not been seen or heard from since.

Officers have been conducting a number of enquiries and are keeping an open mind about the circumstances, while keeping the situation under constant review.

Police are urging Helen to make contact to let them know she is safe and well.

Helen is described as slim and with long black hair, but it is not known what she was wearing at the time she went missing. It is also believed that she has her dog with her – a miniature Dachshund.

The author, who has written 22 children’s books, an adult fiction book and articles for newspapers and magazines, has connections to Kent, Northumbria and London.

She began a blog called Planet Grief after her husband drowned while the couple were on holiday in Barbados in 2011, and is best known for the Electra Brown and Daisy Davenport book series.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101.
