ROYSTON Arts Festival is only weeks away and the town’s art society have revelaed their contribution to the cultural bonanza.

A speical exhibition will be held in the town hall for the duration of the event, which runs from September 29 to October 2.

The Royston Arts Society’s publicist, Val Pettifer, said: “The main thing is letting people know that we’re going to have a lot of new artists exhibited.

“We have got 93 artists, last year we had 86, some of these are professionals, we’re are really excited this year.”

As well as the exhibited artists popular Cambridshire caracutrist Josie Camus will be plying her trade.

Visitors also get a chance to vote for their favourite picture with the winner receiving a cash prize sponsored by Johnson Matthey.

The exhibition is open from 10am-5pm each day and entrance is free.

Light refreshments, including delicious home-made cakes will be served all weekend.

This year’s festival theme is Crossing the Line with a variety of events feeding into the motif - including a special screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
