Pupils at Therfield First School went in dressed in red, white and blue on Friday, and had Harry and Meghan-themed maths and English lessons in the morning. The whole school then had a huge ‘street party’ in the playground in the afternoon, complete with afternoon tea and snacks.
Also on Friday, the Friends of Studlands Rise First School PTA laid on a royal tea party which more than 80 children attended to celebrate the happy couple.
Fun was had by all – with a picnic tea, face painting and to finish up a visit from Gerrys ice cream van.
There were also celebrations at Royston’s Banyers House with a barbecue, live music and craft stalls.
And at All Saints Community Hall in Melbourn, members of the public watched the ceremony while having a cuppa, cake and even prosecco to toast the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
