ROYSTON Evergreen Club will be enjoying a day out at the theatre thanks to Royston Round Table.
Glen Foulger from the Round Table attended the Evergreen Club meeting last week to present a cheque to its chairman Alan Wallace.
Mark Jones, spokesman for the Round Table, said: "This came about because of the work Terry Hutt does for us at Christmas, dressing up as Santa and going out on the sleigh.
"We wanted to say thank you to Terry, so we asked him to nominate a charity or organisation he would like to see benefit from a donation, and he suggested the Evergreens."
The club is planning to use the cash to pay for a bus to take members to see a show in Cambridge, and treat them to afternoon tea.
