A STRONG team performance was the key as Bassingbourn defeated Baldock by four goals to one at the weekend.
Bassingbourn were dominant early on and Tom Moody gave them a deserved lead after 15 minutes with a fine individual finish.
Other chances were made by the away team but on 30 minutes with their first real attack Baldock were level after a fine move.
Early in the second half Matthew Lovejoy regained the lead for Bassingbourn and despite missing numerous chances they made the game safe with a fine team goal finished by Jono Roope, before Roope had the final say with a fine lob over the keeper to make the final score 4-1.
