FORMER Royston Town Council town clerks have been recognised.
And it's due to Celia Walpole, who retired as town clerk after 13 years in December.
She has presented the town council with a town clerks "roll of honour" similar to one which records each Royston town mayor and chairman of the previous Royston Urban District Council.
"The mayors from the past are recognised in this way, so I thought it would be a good idea for town clerks to be recognised, too," said Mrs Walpole.
The board, obviously, includes Mrs Walpole and the current town clerk, Susan Thornton-Bjork.
