The Morden Players have decided to revive the pantomime in Steeple Morden after putting on an Old Time Music Hall last year. The production, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood, has been re-written by Sandy Watkins from one of her previous scripts. In the leading roles will be Ruth Shepherd as Robin Hood and Sinead Lynch as Maid Marian, with Richard and Olwyn Buchta playing the Sheriff of Nottingham and the Dame. The cast of 35 are currently involved in rehearsals three times-a-week. The pantomime is described as traditional with the usual appearance of goodies and baddies along with ghost scenes and plenty of singing and dancing. It will be staged at Steeple Morden Village Hall with evening performances on February 16, February 17 and February 18 and a matinee performance on February 18. Tickets are available at Guilden Groceries and Steeple Morden post office.
