A ROAD collision caused huge tailbacks around Royston this morning (Monday).
A grey BMW Three Series had to be recovered by police after the incident on the A505 going towards Royston, though initial reports as to why it occurred are unclear.
Police were called to the scene, on the Baldock bypass, at 7.15am.
The road was blocked for several hours, but no injuries were recorded.
Severe queuing took place coming in and out of Stevenage and Letchworth until the incident was closed at 9.45am.
