RAILWAY workers have called off a strike planned for Monday.
The strike would have affected First Capital Connect services running through Royston and other stations in Crow Country.
But following talks between the train operator and the RMT union, the walk out has been called off.
An FCC spokesman said: "We have reached a mutually satisfactory agreement with the RMT union over the dismissal of a member of staff. Consequently the strike action called by the RMT for Monday will not take place.
"We will be operating a normal service on this day."
Members of the union had planned to strike in support of a colleague who was sacked following an altercation with a fare evader.
