PLANS to demolish and rebuild a residential home in Melbourn have been revised - for a third time. Cambridge Housing Society proposes to demolish Moorlands Residential Home and replace it with self-contained flats for the tenants. Jo Mills, director of housing and care services, said the society was taking into account advice from South Cambridgeshire District Council. "We've done quite a lot more work with the interior, but also the position of the site and the outside look of it. "It has been given a more traditional look and blends in more with its surroundings," she said. Ms Mills said that a public consultation held at the end of last month had a positive reaction. "Residents commented that they liked the new look of the scheme and believed it would be a real asset to the community." The society hopes to submit a planning application to the district council by the end of the month.
