Stall at Royston market draws the crowds

RECYCLING officers took to the road last week to encourage Royston residents to go green.

Roadshows took place across North Herts as part of national Recycle Week, and North Herts district council officer Natalia Rita manned a stall at Royston market on Wednesday to offer help and advice to local people.

Royston Heath councillor Peter Burt, the district council’s portfolio holder for waste and recycling, said: “Recycling Week is a great way of highlighting the need for everyone to help towards saving the environment. The district council roadshows take the recycling message to the heart of the community and inform residents how they can take action to help improve the amount we recycle.

“Reducing waste in North Herts is a key priority,” he said.
