RAIL commuters face severe disruption after a power failure. Passenger on trains from Kings Cross north to Leeds and Cambridge face up to an hour delay and only one of the two lines south towards Kings Cross is currently available after overhead power line problems at Hitchin. There is no service between Stevenage and Letchworth GC, although trains are running from Stevenage to Kings Cross and Letchworth GC to Cambridge and Kings Lynn. Buses are replacing trains between Stevenage and Letchworth GC. National Express East Anglia will accept First Capital Connect customers on all reasonable routes to and from Liverpool Street.
