THE East Anglian Air Ambulance has received a cheque for £2,000 from the Barrington Cemex Quarry.
Quarry manager John Drayton presented the cheque to Alison Horsley, fund-raising co-ordinator of the service.
The money raised represents the proceeds of an open day held at the quarry in September which marked the plant's 80th anniversary.
More than 1,000 people attended the event which featured original steam vehicles, classic cars and other vehicles providing demonstrations.
A steam loco and carriage took visitors down the branch line to Foxton while there was also a demonstration by a stonemason.
