A PLAYSCHEME has received an award in recognition of its high standard of childcare.
Parlour playscheme in Nuthampstead has been awarded a Herts Quality Standards award following an assessment which looked at the standard of facilities provided for 4 to 12-year-olds.
Debbie Hardingham, business administrator, said: "We were absolutely delighted to have received a quality standard mark, especially because we are only up and running 12 weeks of the year and we've had less time to work towards the accreditation."
The playscheme offers a range of activities to stimulate children and help them to learn.
County councillor Jane Pitman, lead member for children's services, said: "I would like to congratulate them for their hard work and commitment.
"Children deserve the best standards of care and education and parents whose children attend the scheme can feel assured that they are getting the best possible care.
