THE Fat Cat Theatre Company staged a puppet show for pupils at Millfield School in Buntingford on Friday. Jane Leakey, who runs the company, spoke to pupils about puppets and how they work. Key Stage 1 pupils also took part in a series of workshops and made parrot puppets. Deputy head Karen Wagstaff said: "The children enjoyed the puppet show and loved the workshops. "Seeing the puppets working and coming to life was very real for them and they were so inspired to make their own." The day tied in with the pupils' topic for this academic term which is based on the history of toys.
