Meldreth Primary School skipped into action to raise money for the British
Heart Foundation.
The schoolchildren have been learning skipping skills in PE and have enjoyed it so much it has become a regular activity at playtimes and lunch times.
This gave PE co-ordinator Sue Evans the idea of organising a sponsored jump rope to raise money for charity. It proved to be an inspiring plan, with teachers and
pupils 'jumping' at the chance to be involved.
Mrs Evans said: "The whole school has been improving their exercise levels, including the staff. It is great that we have all been maintaining healthy hearts through regular exercise, while raising funds for the British Heart Foundation's life-saving work.
