That seemed to be the message as grandparents returned to school.
But the idea was to help pupils as they shared their memories of the past.
The event took place at Millfield School, Buntingford, as part of the pupils' autumn topic, Into the Past.
Grandparents and pupils shared looking at old newspaper cuttings and black-and-white photographs of years gone by.
And the pupils learned from the experiences of the older generation.
