More details have been released to the Crow about the public inquiry into Royston’s Therfield Heath land swap, which – if approved – would see land deregistered and sold for housing.

The move would make a possible £1 million for the Conservators of Therfield Heath and Greens, and the numerous submissions from the community both for and against have sparked an inquiry that has been charted for seven days at Coombes Community Centre in Burns Road.

The applicant must provide their case documents by December 5, supporting parties have until the same date to submit their documents, and objectors have until December 19.

In the inquiry, statements will be heard from the applicant, supporters and objectors as well as evidence from witnesses.

The case will be heard from Tuesday to Friday, January 30 to February 2, and Monday to Wednesday, February 6 to 8, generally from 10am to 5pm each day.
