CAMPAIGNERS opposing plans to expand a cement works in Barrington have set up their own exhibition. The group, CamAir, has mounted the exhibition to help air views on the proposed expansion of the Barrington cement works. Camair spokesman Sara Frost said: "Initially we set up the exhibition as we felt that Cemex, which owns the plant, could have done a better job during the consultation period. "We're just trying to give people as much information as possible, so they can make up their own minds. "We've had great feedback already, with some people saying they are relieved that people are actively looking into it, and some who heard about the exhibition and came along because they didn't know anything about it." Cemex is due to submit plans, which include a new tower and plant area, later this month. The exhibition is being held at Cambridge Central Library until Saturday.
