The idea is to create the mini-roundabout at the junction of Station Road and Lucas Lane.
The junction was seen as the location for the mini-roundabout after consulation on the Ashwell Village Travel Plan
North Herts District Council is being asked to meet half the costs of £5,500 for a safety audit at the junction and a draft design to be drawn up.
