MYSTERY surrounds a glowing ball of light spotted hovering over Bassingbourn.
The UFO was sighted near the village on Sunday evening and was travelling in the direction of Melbourn.
Elizabeth Phillips, of the Causeway, Bassingbourn, said: "My partner rang me after he had been out to collect my son from Melbourn.
"He said he had seen a strange ball of light in the sky, and when I went outside I could see it as well.

"It was travelling quite fast and was far too big to be a Chinese lantern or anything like that," he added.
