RESIDENTS in South Cambridgeshire will be able to take part in the county's largest ever police survey and voice views and concerns on the services provided.

The largest survey to be carried out throughout Cambridgeshire has been produced by Cambridgeshire Police Authority and Cambridgeshire police.

The Local Police Summary, which will be sent to every household in Bassingbourn, Melbourn, Shepreth, Whaddon, Meldreth, Foxton, Thriplow and Litlington, has been designed to provide information and gather public opinion on policing services in the area.

Police authority chairman Michael Williamson said: "We want to consult every time we communicate with our communities.

Therefore, although we have a statutory duty to produce the summary, the authority and the force have taken it as an excellent opportunity to find out what really matters to people.

"As part of the survey we have included questions that ask our residents about their priorities for local policing," he said.
