Police are upping patrols at key locations, including railway stations, across Hertfordshire following today’s terror attack on a tube in Parsons Green.

A police spokeswoman said: “Following the terror incident in London today, Hertfordshire Constabulary would like to reassure the public that there is no intelligence to suggest a specific threat to the county at this time.

“The force’s priority remains public safety and we continue to work to protect and reassure our communities.

“Patrols are being increased at key locations, including rail and London Underground stations in the county, to reassure those using the transport system this afternoon and evening.

“The force is also reviewing policing operations for crowded places and public events taking place throughout the weekend.

“Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious to police via 999.”
