POLICE in the Melbourn area have set their priorities for the next three months.

The neighbourhood policing team have come up with the list of areas that they will be focussing on following discussions with the local crime prevention panels.

Officers have agreed to look at anti-social behaviour in Shepreth, concentrating on protecting the elderly and the vulnerable. Similar problems have been affecting Melbourn around the High Street, Vicarage Close and The Moor.

The police will also work with British Transport Police to tackle vandalism and theft of cash boxes at railway stations in south Cambridgeshire such as Meldreth and Shepreth.

Speeding in villages including Foxton, Fowlmere, the Mordens, and on the A10 will also be looked at.
