A burglary in which a kitchen window was smashed through in Meldreth is believed to be linked to another attempted burglary yesterday in the same village.
Police were called at about 5.40pm yesterday to reports of a burglary in the High Street. The offender had smashed a double-glazed kitchen window to enter the property and conducted a search, but it’s unknown what was stolen.
They were then called at 8.46pm on to reports of an attempted burglary in Flambards Close.
It is believed entry had been attempted between 1pm and 4pm by trying to force the front door.
A police spokeswoman said: “It is believed that these two incidents are linked and if you have any information, please contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or through their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.”
