Police are appealing for help tracing a man they wish to speak to after an elderly lady in Duxford was conned into parting with £2,700.
The vulnerable woman was targeted on February 9 when a rogue trader told her she owed him £1,200 for work he told her was carried out on her home, but no work was done whatsoever.
The victim allowed the man into her home and, before being given the money, he took her purse from a cabinet.
Several days later he returned and took £1,500, again for work he had not done.
Anyone who recognises the man or has any information should call 101 and ask for DC Alice Draper. You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
