Officers were called to a disused pub in Barley yesterday morning following reports it had been turned into a cannabis factory.
A police spokeswoman confirmed officers found plants on each floor of the Fox and Hounds pub in High Street – which closed in 2014 – just after 11.30am.
These have been seized and scenes of crime officers attended to gather further evidence.
The investigation is on-going and anyone with information that could assist police is asked to contact the Herts force via non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference G4/16/887.
