POLICE have praised two have-a-go heroes who stopped a suspected burglar.
The pair stepped in after a woman living in High Street, Foxton, had discovered three men in her home on Tuesday.
She chased the gang out of her house towards a parked, in which two escaped. But the third man made off on foot, and was chased by the public-spirited duo, who detained the man until the police arrived.
Detective Inspector Andy Gipp said: "This is a great example of the community looking out for one another and acting quickly to help a neighbour."
Investigations are continuing in a bid to trace the other two men, and Det Insp Gipp appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
He said: "I would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this incident or the missing men."
