A POLICE constable has been warned that he could be jailed after he admitted spying on women for sexual gratification.
David Smith, of Chrishall, near Royston, admitted two charges of voyeurism when he appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court.
He admitted adapting part of the structure of a building at Stansted police station with the intention of enabling to observe another person doing a private act.
Smith denied a third count of voyeurism and this was left on the file.
The offences were said to have occurred between March 28 and April 25 while Smith was serving as a police constable at the airport.
He was remanded on bail for four weeks for pre-sentence reports.
Judge Roger Hayward Smith QC said: "All sentencing options remain open. I certainly don't rule out custody."
Smith has been suspended on full pay by Essex police since July.
