POLICE have named a man who died following a three-car collision on the A505 near Flint Cross yesterday (Wednesday).
He was Robert Steed, 22, of Stephall View, Stevenage.
Mr Steed was driving a Honda Civic westbound on the A505 when it was involved in a collision with two other cars, a green Peugeot 406 and a black Ford Focus, about 500 metres from the junction with the B1368 at Flint Cross.
The driver of the Focus, a 36-year old from Steeple Morden, suffered minor injuries, as did his two passengers, a 35-year old and 10-month old baby. The driver of the Peugeot was also injured.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, which took place at about 11.30am yesterday (Wednesday), to come forward.
Pc Francis Crawford, who is investigating, said: "It is very important that we establish exactly what happened."
