Police and the ambulance service have confirmed that a woman died in Royston this morning after they responded to a report she had collapsed and wasn’t breathing.
A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew, Hazardous Area Response Team from Melbourn and East Anglian Air Ambulance were all dispatched to Redwing Rise to treat the woman who was in cardiac arrest.
A police spokeswoman said the incident was a ‘sudden death and non-suspicious’.
A ambulance service spokesman said: “Despite their best efforts, the patient sadly died at the scene.
“Our thoughts go out to her family and friends.”
